Tzivya is passionate about supporting moms and their partners on the journey through pregnancy, labor and delivery and beyond. She feels honored to be invited into such a powerful and transformative part of women’s lives, and would be thrilled to guide, nurture and support you.
As a Birth Doula, Tzivya offers physical, emotional, spiritual and educational support. Tzivya supports birthing moms and their partners compassionately, skillfully, respectfully and without judgment, and helps empower them to make the decisions which are best for them and their birth experience.
Some of the the tools she offers during labor include:
- hot/cold applications,
- use of water,
- massage,
- acupressure,
- position suggestions,
- visualizations and guided imagery,
- comfort measures,
- breathing techniques,
- affirmations,
- and assorted others.
Tzivya is a constant, dedicated presence from the onset of labor throughout delivery and remains with the new family for approximately two hours after birth to assist with initial breastfeeding, if so desired.
Her doula packages vary based on your individual needs, but always include at least one prenatal visit, one postpartum visit, and full labor support.
Additional services may include massage therapy, acupuncture, acupressure, assistance with preparing the house for baby, postpartum support, and others – please inquire.
Tzivya has been privileged to support families of all kinds, and takes great care to be culturally sensitive and appropriate.
Tzivya upholds DONA International’s mission statement that there should be a doula for every woman who wants one, and attempts to make her services available and affordable.
Tzivya has joyfully been serving as a doula and birth worker for over 10 years and endeavors to stay abreast of all the current research and birth wisdom by attending conferences, additional trainings and connecting with other birth workers.
Tzivya is an internationally certified birth doula CD(DONA) through DONA International and has been since 2002. She has had the honor to train with birth experts Debra Pascali-Bonaro, Ina May Gaskin, Debra Betts, Dr. Sarah Buckley, Claudia Citkovitz and attended a midwifery conference with other birth greats this past spring.
